The exterior is decorated with colourful flowers and foliage in muted reds, ochres and greens, while the end panels are particularly delightful, each painted with \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eballs of wool and trailing yarn\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e — a wonderful indication of the basket's original purpose.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe upper panels are similarly decorated with hand-painted flowers, framed by moulded wooden edges.
