The small cylindrical mug has a simple loop handle and a pale blue-grey pearlware glaze.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eChildren’s mugs of this type were often produced with pictorial or educational subjects and given as presents or rewards. This attractive example would make a lovely addition to a collection of early children’s pottery, transferware or country-themed ceramics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThe underside is unmarked. An old collector’s label remains attached to the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eIn good antique condition for its considerable age. There is overall crazing, minor staining and discolouration, surface marks and wear around the rim and handle.
