The bust features glossy black painted hair with softly moulded waves, pale blue painted eyes and delicately blushed rosy cheeks, giving the piece a calm, expressive character. The facial painting is well balanced and typical of quality German porcelain production of the period.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"878\"\u003eOriginally made as a doll component, this example now works beautifully as a decorative object, cabinet piece or curiosity. The underside remains open with original firing holes around the base, and the interior shows the expected unglazed finish.
