Cawl spoons were traditional Welsh treen utensils, used for eating cawl, a broth or stew, as well as other farmhouse and kitchen uses.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1472\"\u003eThis example has a lovely rich dark patina, with warm brown tones showing through around the bowl and handle. The deep bowl, long handle and simple vernacular form give it strong decorative appeal, making it ideal for a country kitchen, Welsh treen collection, farmhouse pantry, spoon rack display or period interior.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1812\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eGood antique condition with age-related wear, patina, rubbing, darker staining and surface marks throughout.
