Although the brand is generally recorded as launching in 1906, surviving advertisements show Cherry Blossom polish was being marketed as early as 1903. In 1913, the business became the Chiswick Polish Company, making the original Chiswick Soap Co lettering on this housebox particularly interesting.

Originally intended for practical household use, this attractive housebox is a lovely surviving piece of British advertising history and would make a wonderful addition to a collection of antique advertising, country house antiques or traditional domestic wares.

Note: The boot polish tins and brushes shown in the photographs are styling props and are not included.

Condition
Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use.
