Their glossy monochrome finish looks striking against the black-and-white folding chessboard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe set retains its original pink patterned presentation box, labelled “International Chess Set” and marked “Made in the People’s Republic of China.” A further label identifies it as Article No. 321-202.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBelieved to date from around the 1960s or 1970s, this is an appealing mid-century Chinese export set that works equally well for play or display.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe set contains all 32 wooden chess pieces, together with the folding board and original outer box.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe wooden pieces remain in good vintage condition, with some light surface marks and a couple with paint flakes consistent with age and use.
