The reel labels record the individual Sylko shade numbers and names, including colours such as Kingfisher, Mahogany, Black, Light Lilac, Peach Rose, Royal Blue, Nutmeg, Elephant, Fiesta Pink, Emerald, Bright Blue, Satin Skin, Sandalwood, Dark Claret, Rose, Cambridge Blue, Saffron, Ivory, Crimson, Light Pink, Ivy Green, Silver Slate, Old Gold, Cream, Dark Shrimp, Pale Rose, Coral, Lemon, Linen, Camellia, Mid Crimson and Myrtle.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe box is marked Art. No. E.001 and was produced for 36 reels of Sylko Machine Twist No. 40, each containing 100 yards \/ 91 metres. It is also marked “A Product of English Sewing Cotton Co Ltd” and “Made in Great Britain”.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAn especially attractive piece of vintage haberdashery which displays beautifully with the lid raised. They have been covered in protective cellophane to help preserve the colours and keep the threads clean.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Some reels have pierced centres and there is age-related wear to a number of the paper labels; one reel is without its upper paper label.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe cardboard box has general age and storage wear including rubbing, marks, small areas of edge and corner wear and some old tape or label residue. The printed lid remains colourful and presents particularly well.
