A striking vintage Mirro cleanser tin with bold green, yellow and red advertising graphics and the slogan “Can’t Scratch!” The cylindrical tin originally contained Mirro’s “Amazing New Cleanser,” promoted as a safe, fine abrasive cleaning powder suitable for a wide range of household surfaces.

The detailed label explains the product’s cleaning properties and includes illustrated uses such as sinks, cookers, tiles and woodwork. A particularly interesting historical feature is the wording “Save this canister for the National Salvage Campaign,” linking the tin to Britain’s wartime recycling drives during the Second World War.
