Antique cast iron street sign or architectural name plaque reading “SOUTHGATE”, with raised lettering, decorative serrated edging and original fixing holes. This is a heavy, weathered piece with a strong industrial and architectural salvage look, ideal for wall display, garden styling, interior decoration, pub décor, shop display or collector use.

The sign has a wonderfully aged surface with heavy rusting, patination and worn remnants of old finish. The lettering remains clear and the overall shape is very decorative. There are fixing holes at either end for mounting. A good original piece of period signage with plenty of character.

Condition

Used antique condition with heavy age-related rusting, surface wear, pitting and weathering throughout. The raised “SOUTHGATE” lettering is still readable. Please see photos as they form part of the description.
