An antique wooden pill maker, dating to the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, used historically in pharmacies and apothecaries for forming and cutting medicinal pills by hand. The pill maker dates to circa 1890–1910, based on its hand-assembled hardwood construction, brass ribbed plates, applied numbered plaques, and the fact that this style of apothecary tool predates mechanised pharmaceutical production. Constructed from solid hardwood with original brass ribbed plates and twin turned wooden handles, it shows clear evidence of professional use. Today, pieces such as this are sought after both as authentic apothecary tools and as decorative display items for period interiors, shops, or film and television settings.
