Pre-war 1930-40s Singer Tin Advertising Calendar
Dating back to the 1930s-40s, this original pre-war Singer advertising tin sign calendar showcases an elegant lady seated at a timeless Singer sewing machine and table.
All the green calendar cards are intact, snugly nestled within metal brackets and stacked neatly. All cards are present - dates, days and months. The cards background is in the classic Singer green with cream numbers and writing, outlined in black.
The back of one of the numbered day cards states, "With Our Compliments - This calendar is supplied for the convenience of the customers and friends of the Singer Sewing Maching Company. These date cards have been made to withstand long usage, but should they become badly word or soiled a replacement set may be obtained through your nearest Singer Shop."

Condition
While the original green background hue has softened with time, its brightness still shines beneath the cards. Along the tin sign's edges, fading and discolouration are evident and there are some light scratches to the surface. Crafted from card, the sign's backing exhibits signs of warping. The cards show signs of use with some stains and creases commensurate with age.
