An original vintage Käthe Kruse doll with soft cloth body construction and moulded plastic face, standing approximately 50 cm tall. This charming German doll features beautifully painted facial details, blonde braided hair, stitched cloth hands and shaped feet, dressed in a pink floral dress with lace trim, white socks and black shoes.

Käthe Kruse dolls are celebrated for their naturalistic expressions and handcrafted character, remaining highly collectible amongst doll enthusiasts worldwide. The combination of the cloth body with moulded face is typical of mid-20th century Käthe Kruse production, and the doll retains the warm, child-like appearance associated with the maker.

There are very faint markings to the sole of one foot, although they are now difficult to decipher.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall with age-related wear. There is thinning and hair loss to the wig at the back of the head, some marks and age discolouration to the cloth body, and wear to the painted finish. The dress and undergarment may be later or replaced, the shoes and socks are contemporary. Faint indistinct markings to sole. Structurally sound and displays beautifully.
