A charming vintage Dewhurst's Sylko three-drawer haberdashery cabinet, originally used as a shop counter display and storage unit for sewing threads.

Finished in a lovely pale blue, the wooden cabinet features three drawers with black handles, with the distinctive 'DEWHURST'S SYLKO' advertising lettering across the centre drawer. The top retains its colourful circular advertising transfer featuring the famous Dewhurst's Three Shells trademark, with the wording 'Sylko – Three Shells – Machine 40 Twist'.

These practical little cabinets were once a familiar sight in haberdashery shops, where they were used to organise and display the many shades of Sylko sewing thread. The three drawers provide useful storage for cotton reels, sewing accessories, embroidery threads and other small haberdashery items.
A lovely piece of British advertising and sewing history, particularly appealing to Sylko collectors and anyone with an interest in vintage haberdashery.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related wear to the painted finish, including scratches, marks and small areas of paint loss, particularly around the edges and corners. There is some loss to the circular advertising transfer on the top, although the design remains clearly visible. The Dewhurst's Sylko lettering on the front is well preserved. All three drawers are present with their black handles and show signs of previous use. The drawers are empty; no cotton reels are included.
