A lovely group of vintage Silcarn Machine Twist cotton reels, mostly on wooden reels, including a part original shop/display box marked “White No. 30” and a good selection of coloured threads. The labels read “Silcarn Machine Twist”, “100 yards / 91m”, “British Made” and “For Perfection”. Colours include white, cream, yellow, red, pink, green and other shades, with some reels still appearing largely unused or part-used.

A very attractive haberdashery display lot, ideal for a sewing room, craft room, vintage sewing machine display, shop display, prop styling, textile collection or decorative glass jar arrangement. The original box and multiple matching labels give the group much stronger visual appeal than a loose mixed reel lot.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. The wooden reels show surface marks, small knocks, and general signs of age. The paper labels have rubbing, discolouration, creasing, small tears, losses and wear around some centre holes. The box has age marks, scuffs, discolouration, edge wear, dents and old storage wear. Most reels retain full or near-full thread, others are part-used. Sold as decorative/collectable vintage sewing items rather than guaranteed for use.
