Sale price: £145.00
Regular price

A characterful antique stoneware butter crock advertising the Danish Dairy Co., featuring a black transfer-printed milkmaid carrying a butter churn, flanked by the company name.

Dating to around 1900, the crock has a gently tapering, speckled cream body with a rich brown glazed rim, glazed interior and curved side handle. The flowing glaze and subtle irregularities in the pottery give it plenty of rustic charm.

A lovely addition to a collection of antique dairy wares or advertising pottery, and an attractive piece for displaying utensils or dried flowers in a country kitchen.
