A striking antique double-handled herb chopper with a broad curved iron blade and turned wooden handles. This large kitchen tool, also known as a mezzaluna or herb cutter, was widely used in the 19th century for chopping herbs, vegetables, and meat in farmhouse and butchery settings.
The forged iron blade has a strong curved form, displaying rich patina and surface wear from long use. Each wooden handle is turned with simple decorative lines, securely fixed with iron collars. Functional in design yet full of rustic character, this is an impressive piece of antique kitchenalia, ideal for display or as a collector’s item.
