Antique French Létang Fils Fish & Shellfish Chocolate Mould – No. 4144

A wonderful antique French chocolate mould by Létang Fils of Paris, featuring twelve beautifully detailed fish, shellfish and other seafood designs.

Dating to the early 20th century, this charming rectangular metal mould features an assortment of marine creatures, including fish, prawns, a lobster and various shells, each individually formed with lovely attention to detail.

Manufactured by Létang Fils, the renowned Parisian maker of chocolate and confectionery moulds established in 1832, the piece bears the impressed maker's mark and address, 'LÉTANG FILS, 108 RUE VIEILLE DU TEMPLE, PARIS', together with the pattern number 4144.

The mould has developed an attractive aged patina, with the finely detailed impressions remaining beautifully defined.
