Antique Homeopathic Chemist’s Remedy Case by John J. Stevenson Nottingham
A rare and beautifully preserved antique homeopathic remedy case from John J. Stevenson, Homeopathic Chemist, 29 Pelham Street, Nottingham. The black leather-covered case opens to reveal its original purple silk lining, compartments, and a fitted selection of early glass vials with cork stoppers. Many bottles retain their original paper labels including remedies such as Phosphorus, Nux Vomica, Arnica, Pulsatilla, Hepar Sulph., Veratrum, and others. Some bottles are empty; others still contain traces of original contents. The lid includes its original miniature brass dispensing spoon set held in leather loops, adding superb authenticity.
This is an excellent example of a late 19th–early 20th century chemist’s travelling or household homeopathic kit, ideal for collectors of medical antiques, apothecary items, Victorian pharmacy, or homeopathy history.
