A striking and highly collectible Art Deco covered sugar bowl produced in Germany by WMF in collaboration with Wächtersbach Keramik, dating from approximately 1910–1930.
This elegant piece features the sought-after blue pansy decoration known as “Dec. 2194”, hand-decorated in a continuous floral band around the body. The cream ceramic body is complemented by its original WMF nickel-plated mounted lid with classic stepped finial, creating the clean geometric styling associated with early German Art Deco design.
The twin-handled form gives the piece a particularly balanced and architectural appearance, making it attractive both as part of a tea service and as a standalone decorative object. The underside retains the printed “Dec. 2194” mark.
An increasingly difficult pattern to find, especially with original WMF mounts intact and in such clean condition.
