Vintage Blue Christmas Tree-Top Fairy – c.1950s–1960s

A charming vintage Christmas tree-top fairy, believed to date from the 1950s–1960s, dressed in a wonderfully full pink gown with delicate lilac-pink tulle netting.

She has a moulded plastic body, painted facial features and short, sculpted blonde hair. Her pretty dress features layers of pink fabric beneath a generous arrangement of fine tulle, with large decorative netting wings at the back.

Delicate embroidered white roses with green leaves decorate the front of her dress, while a matching floral headpiece and long cream satin ribbons complete her outfit.

Unlike modern tree toppers, this fairy has no plastic cone or mounting socket beneath her dress. The generous fabric skirt would have allowed her to be positioned over the upper branches of a Christmas tree.

A lovely nostalgic Christmas decoration, full of mid-century charm and a wonderful addition to a traditional festive display.

Note
We have two of these lovely vintage fairies available in this colour, plus another two in pink. All four were acquired together as part of a small collection. There are slight variations in appearance and condition due to their age and long-term storage.
