Vintage Dewhurst's Sylko Three Shells Advertising Pincushion

A colourful vintage Dewhurst's Sylko fabric pincushion, designed to fit into the ceramic Sylko sewing storage jars.

Made entirely from fabric, the pincushion features a rounded red body with a circular printed top displaying the familiar Dewhurst's Sylko Three Shells trademark and Machine 40 Twist advertising design in red, blue, cream and gold.

The traditional Three Shells design was used by Dewhurst for many years and also appeared on later promotional sewing accessories, including ceramic storage jars produced in the late 20th century.
