Vintage Gabrielle Designs Aunt Lucy Bear 1978

A rare vintage Gabrielle Designs Aunt Lucy Bear, dated 1978 on the original label. This is a charming and highly collectable example, measuring approximately 50 cm tall, with grey plush fur, pink felt paw pads, dark eyes and black nose. She is dressed in a pink spotted dress with lace trim, bloomers, black felt shoes, a brown shawl with lace edging and a black hat. The bear retains her original Gabrielle Designs cloth label and the St Luke’s First XV / Peruvian Reserves tag. She also has real Peruvian coins pinned into the pocket, adding a lovely authentic detail to the Peruvian theme.

This is a scarce and highly displayable Aunt Lucy Bear with lovely character and presence. A wonderful piece for collectors of Gabrielle Designs, Paddington and Aunt Lucy bears, British character toys and vintage soft toys.
