Vintage Maileg Giant Pixy Advent Calendar Boy 150cm

A wonderful oversized Maileg Pixy Advent Calendar, standing an impressive 150 cm tall.

This early Maileg Christmas design is considerably larger than the company's more recent Advent Pixies and makes a fantastic statement decoration.

The long-legged Pixy has Maileg's characteristically simple embroidered face, an exceptionally tall red pointed hat, red and cream striped arms and legs, red mitten hands and wonderfully oversized feet. His grey outfit is decorated throughout with the Advent numbers 1–24 in a mixture of patterned fabric pockets, appliqué panels, numbered buttons and brass rings. Numbers 1–20 appear across the front, numbers 21 and 22 are incorporated into pockets on the back, while 23 and 24 appear on his mitten hands.

The pockets and rings can be used for small Advent treats, notes, decorations or miniature gifts, making him both a decorative Christmas piece and a reusable Advent calendar. A hanging loop at the back of the neck allows him to be displayed at his full 150 cm length, although his soft construction also means he can be seated on a bench, chest or large chair.

This is an earlier discontinued oversized Maileg design, dating to approximately the early 2010s.
