A striking vintage enamel advertising sign for Spratt’s Dog & Bird Foods, one of the earliest and most famous names in British pet food. With its bold black lettering, red logo, and decorative script, this piece captures the style and charm of early 20th century shop advertising.

The sign was made by Wood & Penfold Ltd, London, and features classic enamel construction with vivid colours and a glossy surface. Spratt’s was a household name from the late Victorian period through to the mid-20th century, and original enamel signs like this are now highly collectible.

This sign would originally have had a flange for hanging on a wall, but the flange is no longer present. It still displays very well, with great colour and character, making it an excellent addition to any advertising, pet memorabilia, or enamel sign collection.

Condition

Fair to good vintage condition with areas of rust, enamel loss, and edge wear. The flange is missing, but the sign remains stable and highly decorative.
