A decorative job lot of vintage J. Brook & Bros / Brooks wooden cotton reels, including Brooks Machine Cotton, Brooks Patent Glace Thread, Brooks Machine Cotton No. 100, and mixed reel sizes and colours. The group includes black, white, green, pink, purple and other shades, with attractive paper end labels featuring the Brooks goat’s head trademark.

A lovely display group for a sewing room, haberdashery cabinet, vintage craft collection, textile display, shop styling, prop styling or alongside antique sewing machines and dressmaking items. The mix of sizes, colours and label styles gives the lot strong visual appeal.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. The wooden reels have surface marks, small knocks, rubbing, discolouration, old tape to some threads, small splits to some rims and general signs of age/use. The paper labels show rubbing, staining, fading, small tears, losses and wear around some centre holes. Some reels retain thread, but they are sold as decorative/collectable vintage items rather than guaranteed for sewing use.
