Original Singer Model 20 miniature sewing machine, hand-cranked, finished in black japanned metal with gilt Singer lettering and the Singer Manufacturing Co. trade mark to the pillar. This is the classic child’s machine, fully mechanical, with exposed gearing, metal needle plate and original hand wheel. A beautifully engineered piece that mirrors full-size Singer machines in miniature form.
Highly collectible and increasingly scarce in complete, unrestored condition. Sought after by sewing collectors, Singer enthusiasts, prop buyers and interior stylists. This example presents very well, retaining strong paintwork, clear gilt branding and the original green felt base, with honest wear that confirms age rather than detracts from display.
Size/Dimensions
Approximately H:19 cm x L:18 cm x W: 10 cm
Condition
Very good antique condition. The machine is complete and hand crank turns freely. Expected age-related wear to paint and metal surfaces, small losses to paint at the base edge and general patina. Original green felt base present with wear and holes. No modern repainting observed.
Era
Circa 1910–1920 (early Singer Model 20 period)
