This is a delightful 18" 1972 Gabrielle Designs Paddington Bear, a true classic from the earliest days of Paddington’s arrival in Britain. He is dressed in a high-quality replacement olive-green duffle coat with wooden toggles, a new red felt hat, and his original red wellington boots. Around his neck, he proudly carries a replacement “Darkest Peru to London, England” luggage label – the iconic tag that makes Paddington instantly recognisable. True to tradition, he even has a wonderful little jam sandwich tucked into his pocket, ready for emergencies. A nostalgic treasure and a highly desirable Paddington for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Condition

His plush fur remains clean and bright, and the original boots are in excellent condition. As with many early Gabrielle Bears, coats, hats and labels were often replaced over time, so these updates are entirely in keeping with his age and history.
