Regular price

An original oil painting on canvas by British painter Madeline Reid, depicting a Spanish courtyard scene with architectural elements, balcony detail and surrounding foliage. The composition is rendered with confident, expressive brushwork and a muted palette, creating an atmospheric Mediterranean setting.

The painting is presented in its original gilt frame, which shows attractive age-related patina and complements the subject well. The reverse retains important provenance labels, including a James Bourlet & Sons framers and restorers label dated 29 September 1961, confirming professional relining, cleaning and varnishing. A further label referencing the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Piccadilly, London, adds institutional context and strengthens the documented history of the work.
