This is a wonderfully preserved 1972 Gabrielle Designs Paddington Bear, a true classic from the earliest days of Paddington’s arrival in Britain. Dressed in his distinctive green duffle coat, bright orange felt hat and cheerful yellow boots, this bear carries the famous “Darkest Peru to London, England” luggage tag which enhances his authenticity and collectability. His fur remains clean and bright, the coat retains its rich colour, and the felt hat and toggles are in excellent order. The original yellow boots complete the look and make him instantly recognisable as the bear generations have come to love. A fine example of early Gabrielle Designs craftsmanship, this Paddington is both a nostalgic treasure and a highly desirable piece for collectors.

Very good vintage condition. The plush is clean and well-kept with no significant wear or matting. The clothing is intact with strong colour, showing only light handling consistent with age. Toggles are secure and in good order. The felt hat is bright and complete with its original safety pin detail. The yellow boots are firm and without cracks or splits. The original luggage tag is present, clearly legible, and adds to the authenticity. Overall this is a well-preserved example that displays beautifully and retains excellent character.
