This vibrant vintage wooden advertising box for Lyons’ Milk Chocolate bars is a striking piece of British confectionery history. Featuring bold red, green, and cream graphics, the box promotes Lyons’ ½d chocolate bars with the message “Increased Weight” and colourful rural imagery including grazing cows and a milk churn. Manufactured by J. Lyons & Co. Ltd. at Cadby Hall, London W14, the box would have originally held half a gross of chocolate bars for shop sale or display. The interior lid retains its full printed panel, which is bright and well-preserved, while the exterior panels are largely intact with minor wear. It is a highly decorative piece for display in vintage kitchens, advertising collections, or as a prop in 1930s–40s period settings.
