Original Edwardian Fry’s Five Boys pictorial enamel sign

Original early 20th century Fry’s Chocolate enamel advertising sign, featuring the celebrated sequence of a boy’s changing expressions from desperation through to realisation with the line. The inclusion of royal warrants to the King & Queen and Queen Alexandra firmly dates this sign to the Edwardian period and places it among the most desirable early Fry’s designs. This is a classic example of British pictorial advertising, prized for its narrative imagery, strong branding and visual impact. The sign displays exceptionally well, with rich colour contrast and clear lettering, and carries the depth and authenticity collectors expect from an untouched survivor.
