Original early 20th century Tower Tea enamel advertising sign, featuring elegant cursive script reading “Tower Tea” with the wording “Sold Here” beneath. This attractive shop sign would originally have been displayed by grocers or tea merchants to indicate stock of the Tower Tea brand. The flowing typography and restrained colour palette give it strong visual appeal, making it a particularly decorative example of British grocery advertising. Signs for tea brands are consistently popular, and this elongated format works especially well in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Size/Dimensions

H: 22 cm x L: 61 cm
Condition

Original enamel sign with honest age-related wear. Enamel losses and rusting along edges and around fixing holes, with surface scratching and areas of oxidation consistent with long-term outdoor use. Lettering remains clear and legible, with good contrast against the pale ground. No restoration observed. Structurally sound.
Era

Early 20th century, circa 1910–1930
