1940s Singer Shop Advertising Enamel Sign

An eye-catching original Singer enamel advertising sign from the 1940s, featuring the Spanish slogan “Máquinas Singer Para Coser” (Singer Machines for Sewing). This bold and beautifully designed sign was used to advertise Singer sewing machines in Spanish-speaking markets and remains a striking piece of mid-century commercial art. The central image shows a stylish woman in a pink dress, seated at a treadle Singer sewing machine, absorbed in her work. The colours are rich and well-preserved, with the vivid red Singer logo standing out against a dark background. Designed for shopfront or interior display, it would have originally hung outside a sewing machine dealership or haberdashery.

An ideal display piece for collectors of sewing memorabilia, vintage advertising, or industrial décor, this sign is a classic example of Singer’s global branding and nostalgic appeal.
