Antique Carved Wooden Bread Board Victorian/Edwardian Treen Kitchenalia
Antique round wooden bread board, beautifully carved with the word “Bread” in gothic-style lettering, with simple foliate detail around the border.
A lovely piece of traditional kitchenalia, likely dating from the late Victorian to early 20th century, circa 1890s–1920s. The board has a good mellow colour and plenty of honest age-related surface wear, including knife marks, patina, staining and signs of long practical use. The wood has been left untreated, retaining its original dry surface and authentic aged appearance.
Old scorch marks are visible to the reverse of the board, adding further character and evidence of long practical use over time.
Ideal for display in a farmhouse kitchen, country interior, antique kitchenalia collection or as a decorative treen piece.
