Original early 20th century wooden “Wet Brush” box with hand-painted gilt lettering and black shadow detail to the front. These practical trade boxes were used in barbershops and shoe shine stands for storing damp brushes. This example retains a rich dark stained finish with honest wear and a pleasing aged patina. The hinged lid opens to a clean interior and the long rectangular shape makes it ideal for brushes, tools or decorative storage.
