Late Victorian White Ironstone Tapioca Storage Jar
A lovely late Victorian / Edwardian white ironstone kitchen storage jar labelled “TAPIOCA” in bold black lettering to the front. This is a classic pantry storage jar, with a simple cylindrical form, subtle banded detail around the body and a matching white ironstone lid.
The jar has a beautifully aged crazed glaze and the kind of understated graphic appeal that works very well in country kitchens, farmhouse interiors, pantry displays and antique kitchenalia collections. These white ironstone storage jars were made for everyday kitchen use, but today they make very decorative display pieces.
The bold black lettering gives this one particularly good visual appeal, especially for a dresser, open shelf, shop display or period kitchen setting.
