Victorian Edwardian Lincolns Four Cord Wooden Thread Reel 7200yd Coats
An original Victorian to Edwardian industrial wooden thread reel by Lincolns, produced by J. & P. Coats, one of Britain’s most important historic thread manufacturers. This large factory reel retains its original paper label marked “Lincolns, 16, 4, Warranted, 7200 yards,” confirming its use in commercial textile production. These substantial reels were mounted on industrial machinery and supplied to textile mills for continuous manufacturing processes. Turned from solid wood and retaining a generous amount of its original thread, the reel displays excellent colour, form, and authentic aged patina. Early Lincolns reels with original labels are increasingly scarce and desirable among collectors, interior designers, and prop stylists. An excellent decorative and historical object for sewing rooms, studios, or industrial interiors.
