WWI Army Service Corps Beaded Heart Cushion Sweetheart Pin Cushion

A striking and highly decorative antique sweetheart pin cushion in a classic heart form, richly embellished with glass beads and centred with an Army Service Corps badge.

This piece is a wonderful example of wartime folk art, likely made as a token of affection and remembrance. The front is intricately decorated with applied beadwork in soft turquoise, white and red tones, forming floral bursts and borders. Two printed silk panels read “Think of Me”, framing a central heart motif inscribed “A Loving Wish”.

At the centre sits a printed Army Service Corps crest with the motto “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense”, adding strong military association and collector appeal.
