A charming antique wooden Springerle or gingerbread mould, hand-carved with three traditional designs – a leafy spray, a parrot-like bird, and a cluster of grapes. These moulds were used for pressing patterns into biscuit dough, marzipan, or gingerbread, producing richly decorated festive treats.

This example is mounted with an iron frame for strength and longevity, a typical feature of 19th and early 20th century moulds. The carving is deep and detailed, showing fine folk art craftsmanship. Today, it makes a striking decorative piece for a rustic kitchen, a collector’s wall, or as an authentic prop in period settings.
