A lovely antique bread knife with a decorative carved treen wooden handle and steel blade.

The handle is beautifully carved with floral and leaf decoration to one side, with a rich aged patina. The reverse is plainer, with simple incised line detail. The blade is marked Butler, Sheffield, England and “Non-Stain”, with a circular registered mark.

The blade has a long, broad form typical of a bread knife. A very attractive piece of antique kitchenalia, ideal for a country kitchen, dresser display, pantry collection or treen collector.

Condition

Good antique/vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. The carved wooden handle has surface marks, darkening and patina from age and use. The blade has surface scratches, tarnish and age-related wear, but presents well.
