An original antique wooden thread spool stand featuring a beautifully turned two-tier spool holder mounted on a rectangular base with integrated drawer. The stand retains its original configuration with vertical metal spool pegs on both upper tiers and base, designed to hold multiple reels of thread for convenient access while sewing.

The upper tier incorporates the original circular surround with its period silk pin cushion still present. The base includes a useful drawer for storing sewing notions such as needles, thimbles, or bobbins. Condition

Very good antique condition with age-related wear, marks, and patina consistent with genuine use. The silk pin cushion shows wear from use but remains complete. The drawer shows a small amount of historic woodworm; this is inactive, and the entire piece has been precautionarily treated for preservation. The wooden peg at the front of the base has a small historic loss to the lip edge. The left rear metal spool pin on the base appears to be an old replacement. All other spool pins appear original and remain secure. Structure is solid and stable, and the drawer slides smoothly. Sewing reels are included in the sale.
