A charming set of 12 miniature vintage glass Christmas baubles, dating from around the mid-20th century.

The collection includes an appealing assortment of round and tapered shapes, with three particularly decorative concave reflector baubles. Each has been individually hand-painted with colourful flowers, leaves, stripes and abstract motifs in jewel-like shades of blue, pink, red, gold, green and silver.

Their small scale makes them particularly lovely for a tabletop tree, feather tree or smaller Christmas display. Alternatively, they could be mixed among larger decorations to add variety and interest.

Each bauble retains its metal cap and hanging loop. The set comes in a vintage card box with individual compartments and tissue paper.

Condition

The baubles display age-related wear, including fading, spotting, tarnishing, paint loss and deterioration to the internal silvering. This creates the softly aged appearance collectors appreciate in genuine vintage decorations.

Ten of the baubles are free from cracks, chips or holes. Two baubles have faults: one blue concave reflector bauble has a small area of damage around the reflector, and one blue bauble has damage at the neck beneath its metal cap. Both are shown closely in the photographs.

The metal caps have age-related tarnishing and wear. The card box is also worn and marked from storage, with some distortion to the internal dividers.
