A lovely vintage carved wooden breadboard featuring an elegant wheat and barley sheaf motif around the border. The carving is crisp and well executed, giving the board wonderful rustic charm. The surface has the attractive knife marks and mellow wear that only comes from decades of genuine use, making it a perfect addition to a farmhouse kitchen or a decorative display. Breadboards with naturalistic wheat designs were especially popular in the early 20th century and remain highly collectible today for their warm, tactile character and timeless utility.

This example has a soft, pale tone, an appealingly smooth centre, and beautiful relief-carved stalks and ears around the edge. Ideal for use as a serving board, styling prop, or part of a vintage kitchen collection.
