Dewhurst’s Sylko Three Shells Ceramic Cotton Reel Pot

A charming ceramic Dewhurst’s Sylko “Three Shells” Machine Twist pot, modelled in the form of an oversized cotton reel.

The pot has a coral pink thread-effect body with a rich brown glazed rim and base, and a bright Dewhurst’s Sylko Three Shells label-style design to the lid. The piece opens to reveal a plain cream glazed interior, making it ideal as a small trinket pot, sewing box accessory, collector’s display piece or decorative haberdashery item.

A lovely piece for collectors of Sylko, Dewhurst’s, vintage sewing, haberdashery advertising and textile-related ceramics. It displays especially well alongside original wooden Sylko reels, shade cards, cotton boxes and sewing notions.
