An original heavy pine transit crate stamped for Loaded Safety Cartridges by Remington Arms–Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Brimsdown, Middlesex, England. This is a genuine industrial storage and shipping crate, not a reproduction, with finger-jointed corners, original stencilled lettering, carry handle cut-out and period construction throughout. The crate would originally have been used for the transport of ammunition and later repurposed, as many were, for workshop or general storage. Today it works extremely well as a display piece, shop prop, interior storage box or collector’s item, retaining strong visual impact with its bold typography and honest wear.
