An original Victorian haberdashery cabinet in polished hardwood, dating to the late 19th century. The inside of the lid retains its original varnished printed paper trade label reading “The Pall Mall Haberdashery Cabinet,” featuring an architectural illustration and decorative border typical of period haberdashery and outfitter pieces. The interior is fitted with multiple compartments and a removable divided tray, originally intended for sewing notions, threads, buttons, or small accessories. Some internal dividers have been replaced over time, consistent with long use and practical adaptation, while the main structure and overall layout remain intact. The front retains its shaped escutcheon with the original lock present. A characterful and functional antique sewing box with strong decorative appeal.
