Large Antique Porcelain Doll Shoulder Head Bust 19th Century
A large antique porcelain doll shoulder head bust dating to the mid–late 19th century. Finely modelled with softly painted grey hair, pale blue eyes and delicate facial features, this is an impressive decorative piece with strong presence and excellent display quality. The generous scale allows it to be used as a standalone interior object, collector’s display, or theatrical and photographic prop. The piece remains unrestored and in as-found antique condition, retaining its original character and surface.
There is a long, stable age-related crack running through the shoulder plate and a small chip at the neckline, both clearly visible and consistent with age and use. These do not detract from the overall visual impact, particularly when displayed front-on, and are fully reflected in the price.
