Vintage Bakers Ltd Advertising Pudding Basin c.1940

A charming vintage white earthenware pudding basin by Kirklands of Etruria, Staffordshire, dating from approximately 1938–1947.

The front features a delightful black transfer illustration of a cheerful baker, dressed in an apron and carrying a steaming pudding on a serving plate, with the words 'Bakers Ltd' beneath.

The basin has a traditional deep, rounded shape with a broad rolled rim, characteristic of pudding basins used in British kitchens during the first half of the 20th century. The underside bears the green printed Kirklands Embassy Ware Etruria England backstamp, dating the piece to the period between 1938 and 1947.

A lovely piece of vintage British kitchenalia, particularly appealing to collectors of advertising pottery, traditional baking equipment and country kitchen antiques.
