A vintage ceramic Cottontail rabbit ornament produced at the Denby Pottery, Bourne, England. Modelled as a seated rabbit with upright ears and finished in a rich mottled blue glaze, this is a decorative piece from Denby’s mid-century animal range. The base is stamped “Bourne Denby England” and carries the Denby decorator’s script mark. This form is often referred to by collectors as the “snub nose”, characterised by its compact head and softly rounded muzzle.
