Vintage Christmas Tree Angel with Gold Wings c.1950s–1960s

A charming vintage Christmas tree angel, believed to date from the 1950s–1960s, with striking metallic gold wings and a wonderfully full cream-coloured dress.

This nostalgic little angel has a moulded plastic head and arms, with painted blue eyes, tiny red lips and sculpted hair. Her arms are raised on either side of her face, while a delicate black tinsel halo sits above her head.

Behind her are a beautiful pair of large, shaped cardboard wings with a metallic gold finish. Her full, bell-shaped skirt is made from layers of softly gathered cream-coloured netting over delicate crepe paper, giving her a wonderfully traditional appearance.

A delightful piece of mid-century Christmas nostalgia, full of character and old-fashioned charm. She would make a lovely addition to a collection of vintage festive decorations or take pride of place at the top of a traditional Christmas tree.
